Honeybees & Honeysuckle Tattoo Design 2007 - I designed this tattoo for my friend Kathy Cruz. It represents her father. He passed away in the fall of 2007 The honeysuckle is a flower that means devoted love and affection. It also symbolizes faithfulness, and generosity. It is said that honeysuckle protects a garden from evil. The flower has five petals signifying her parents and three sisters. The color pink in the flower represents calm feelings, a neutralization of disorder, relaxation, acceptance, and contentment. The three he bees represent Kathy and her two sisters. They appear as three bees that arrived from various directions coming together to be united with the honeysuckle. I did a lot of reading about the honeybee. We were probably discussing "So Blessed", a tattoo that some Brandon Flowers look-alike wished to get written in eight-inch high cursive letters across his chest. Me: (laughs) Him: "What's so funny?" Me: "You're joking right?" Him: "No." Jack (trying to diffuse the situation): "Why so blessed?" Him: "Because I'm like, so blessed, dude."
